Sharing Studios with Leah Schell and Steve Monteith

Vancouver illustrator Leah Schell and graphic designer husband Steve Monteith not only share their lives together but their art as well. We sat down to talk to them about what it’s like sharing a studio with another artist. Due to their varying artistic practices, they feel blessed to be able to share their point of view with each other and find inspiration within one another’s work.

Leah works primarily in watercolour paint and acrylic ink pens. The result is a world full of faeries, woodland critters, and an amazing presentation of her eye for detail. A mouse, keyboard, and screen are Steve’s tools for his art practice as he designs websites, brochures, and promotional material. His love of design is matched by his passion for music. The music in this video is from his band, Wolf Creek Road.
